Kolbe Special School is a Catholic School under the patronage of the Muiriosa Foundation. The school caters for children with severe / profound general learning disabilities and autism. At present we have five classes, with a staff of five teachers plus the principal, twelve special needs assistants, two nurses, secretary, caretaker, bus escorts and visiting Health Care Professionals.

At Kolbe Special School we aim to:

- Enable our pupils to develop as said beings through living and co-operating with others.
- Provide our pupils with a broad and balanced curriculum as presented by the Department of Education and Science.
- Offer a holistic approach to each pupil thus ensuring their intellectual, health and personal care development.
- Develop a professional relationship with all visiting professionals where they feel welcomed, supported and valued by the whole school community.
- Provide for the spiritual formation of the entire school community, giving all our experience of the Church’s beliefs, traditions and Sacramental life.
